2003 Dodge Sprinter – Shattered Flex Plate

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Here’s something you really don’t see every day. A fragment of steel from the flex plate flew off while the engine was running, and tore into the crankshaft position sensor.

This initially seemed like a very common sensor failure. After trying and failing to extract the sensor, we finally had to resort to pulling the transmission to attack it from underneath. That’s when we found the root cause.

Photographic details are attached to this post, along with a picture of the job in progress, nice and orderly on the tech’s cart – just the way we like it.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”2669″ img_size=”full”][vc_single_image image=”2670″ img_size=”full”][vc_single_image image=”2672″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
